Those were the words from Mike & Dawn Kludt as we pulled out of the Arizona State Prison Sunday night at 9:30pm. Three nights of Holy Ghost power through the word of God being drawn from the men's heart. I have said this several times and it's always after I have had the opportunity to minister to men in prison. There seems to be a greater presence of God in these men and these meetings than any church meeting I attend. The men worship God with a freedom I don't see too often in the church on the outside. No one is standing there with their hands in their pockets barely whispering the words on the screen. They are praising God at the top of their lungs, dancing, bowing and excited about their God! The song we started with Friday night and ended with Sunday night was "Can't Stop Praising His name," and they couldn't stop, serious. The more they sang those words the more they couldn't stop praising His name. Oh I pray this will be contagious and stay with them as they enter the churches on the outside.
I am reminded Matthew 25:34,35, "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave me meat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger and you took me in: naked and you clothed me: I was sick and you visited me: I was in prison and you came to me."
I thank God for prison ministries, especially the ones God has brought across our path. I remember the first time Doug Rood began to teach Maximized Manhood in the Overton unit in East Texas. He told me for the first time in his life he felt fulfilled and invited me to come minister to the men. When I went the first time, I was overwhelmed by the hunger of the men for the word of God. After-wards as I sat in my car, I wept from the overwhelming presence of God. I had been in meetings all over the world and never sensed God's presence as I did that night. I asked God, "what is it God, why is your presence so strong?" He simply answered, "because they are desperate and broken." I cried out to God for that same brokenness & desperation. It has been that same way every time, in every prison no matter what country or city. I believe it's absolutely essential for this ministry to get into every prison in America and every country around the world. They must hear the truth that "Manhood & Christ likeness are synonymous.
We commissioned 15 men Friday night and had commissioned 37 in December, 2007. 52 commissioned men being released back into society equipped with a revelation of Christ like manhood
they had never known.
Just a side note, we had the opportunity Saturday to be on the FM Christian radio show in Lake Havasu, AZ with Dr Bob Green of First Baptist and we had a blast with all the truths many had never heard. Then on Sunday morning, Tommy Thomas, interim pastor of Golden Valley Baptist invited me to speak at their two morning services and to their men between the services. I ministered on 'The Unnatural act of Forgiveness' to the congregation and the response was incredible to the power of forgiveness the way God forgives, many forgave and were set free. The men responded in the same manner in the men's meeting, wanting to accept responsibility for their actions. Many men expressed their failure in their role as spiritual leaders in the home and said, "I can't give something I never had." They are interested in the Majoring in Men curriculum.
Saturday night at the prison, I read Romans 8:19, "all of creation is groaning, waiting for us to rise up in our son ship. Then I began to minister on the Father's Affirmation and the Father's blessing from Matthew 3:17, "this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." It was God the Father affirming Jesus, His son, imparting the anointing necessary for him to carry out the will of the Father. A Fathers blessing, telling him and all to hear that God loved him, he was his son and was well pleased with him. Interesting that God the Father was telling his son he was well pleased with him, yet Jesus had not healed the sick, open blind eyes, walked on water or raised the dead. Yet the Father was telling the Son to affirm, anoint and equip him for ministry and fulfill the will of the Father. Much like what the Jewish culture does with young men and young women entering puberty and necessary to begin their journey into adulthood, to fulfill the will of God for their lives.
I read 1 Corinthians 4:15, "though you have 10,000 instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers...."
I stopped, looked at the 125 men and asked how many had never had a Father's blessing or affirmation. Almost every man raised his hand. I had Chaplain Wayne Bayse & Mike Kludt(a commissioned man & the man responsible for starting the Majoring in Men Curriculum at the prison) to join me. The men came forward one by one for their fathers blessing, affirmation and a fathers hug.
It's amazing when you look eye to eye with a man or young man, no matter what his age and affirm him that, God loves him and there is nothing he has done or ever will do that will change Gods love for him. God is well pleased with him because because he is rising up in his sonship and the most important thing is: he's a good son. As each of us put our arms around each man and gave him a fathers affirmation, blessed him and gave him a fathers hug, each one wept and didn't want to let go.
It's what all men need. They cry out for approval, acceptance, affirmation, a pat on the back or a 'good job son'.
If they don't get it from their father at a young age, they will stand at an altar in prison and cry out for it. Every young man that doesn't get his fathers blessing may not end up in prison but about every
man in prison grew up without a fathers blessing. It's hard to give something you don't have. We want every one of these men who have children to be able to give the fathers blessing.
Help us get this ministry & Majoring in Men Curriculum into 2500 prisons in 2009. It's only $150 for all nine books, workbooks plus my two books, "Murder for Hire & The Unnatural Act of Forgiveness."
We will be doing "Great Dads" seminars this year with Forgiven Ministries, headquarters inTaylorsvilles, NC. They bring in the children to spend the day with their dads in prison with games, clowns and crafts with their dads. I will be teaching forgiveness from my books and giving them the books.
You can be a part of seeing "the hearts of the fathers turn to the children and the hearts of children turn to their fathers." Malachi 4:6.
Then you too can say, "This is just too much fun." Sounds like the heart of a father.
Thank you for your friendship and your prayers and financial support.
In His service,
Jack
